Chancellor College Staff Development Priorities 2006

Laptops for Teachers Program - A Smart Classrooms Initiative of Education Queensland

In 2006, all teaching staff across the primary and secondary campuses are participating in the Computers for Teachers Program, a Smart Classrooms initiative of Education Queensland. Each teacher at Chancellor College will be given a laptop as part of the trial.

Chancellor College will also strengthen its current ICT support and training for staff, including

  • setting up informal networks of teachers to share ICT skills

  • in-service  about how to incorporate new technologies into teaching programs and classrooms

  • in-service on using the laptops for administrative purposes

  • in-service aimed at developing best-practice in pedagogy from Prep to Senior Years.
