Curriculum Council

The Curriculum Council leads the strategic development and enactment of curriculum across the College. This will ensure a seamless approach to all areas of study in order to maximise student learning outcomes and foster life long learning.
Membership:

Deputy Principals, Heads of Department, Guidance Officer, invited guests

Outside College Partners:

University of Sunshine Coast, Universities, TAFE, Private providers, consultants, local business and industry members, other P - 12 curriculum networks

Council Responsibilities:
bullet develop innovative P - 12 curriculum
bullet promote best practice pedagogy
bullet endorse Academy curriculum plans - Years 10-12
bullet approve, endorse P-9 ELO and INS frameworks
bullet analyse data and make recommendations to the College
bullet lead and manage curriculum focus area teams
bullet implement Queensland Curriculum And Reporting Framework (QCARF) initiatives
bullet monitor student pathways planning
bullet research implications of current educational theory
bullet strategically action new curriculum initiative
bullet report to Chancellor Strategic Planning Forum and to staff through school teams
