How
can I be a scientist?
The
clothes you wear, the food you eat, the water you drink, the pencil you
write with, the toys that you play with - yep, science is
everywhere!
During
this unit, children will discover just how submerged we are in the world
of science each and every day. They will investigate the processes of
working as a scientist when they engage in a variety of experiences and
activities to test their own theories and solve various real-life
problems. Children will use
everyday situations, devices and toys to investigate the amazing world of
forces, motion and energy.

What
will I be?
What
makes me special? What do I have to offer an employer? What are my current
roles/jobs?
at
school, at home, in the community?) Why do people work? What happens in
the workplace? What’s in our community? What does it provide us? Who
works in our community and how do they help us? How can we make our
community a ‘better’ place?
This
unit sees the children investigate what makes a community. They will
investigate many facets of community life and create a community of their
own in both 2D and 3D form and justify the placement of collectively
agreed agreed community components within their town.
